Notes: Founded in 1963, Fashion Museum Bath is a real gem, currently closed for renovation and relocation, the museum has a fashion collection of 100.000 pieces. It is one of those places I imagine myself in, when I dream about becoming a fashion curator or costume historian. This book is a fun way to re-live the fashion history starting from the 60s. To be precise, every year since 1963, the museum names one industry expert, to select that year’s most representative look and designer. Designers chosen over the years include Ossie Clark, Jean Muir, Karl Lagerfeld, Donatella Versace, Kenzo Takada, John Galliano, Alexander McQueen, Vivienne Westwood, Christopher Kane, Gareth Pugh and Bianca Saunders. This is a nice scroll of amazing looks and interesting insights, it’s also a great way to discover some forgotten names of European and British fashion history.

Rıfat Ozbek is someone I’m proud to share my surname with (no family bonds). He is a true visionary and during the 90s was able to blend his Turkish heritage and ethnic influences with contemporary dressing. He is a true maestro of embroidery and prints.
